NIGHT LIGHT

dir. Tomek Tryzna feature film, produced by Okoloko and CDA Premium (2022)

A heroicomic poem in which the protagonists are people who sometimes need to be wound up. Several parables and episodes, connected by the scenography of night streets, unfold in the borderlands between various opposing notions. Passing, wavering, permeating; good and evil, the fleeting and the frozen, love and freedom.

In such encounters it may happen, it is not impossible, that click: the decal covering reality cracks and for a moment a glimmer of the incomprehensible slips through. Moments of this kind, festive in their intensity, are what Pietro Citati in his essays on humanity’s great myths calls the “light of the night.”

In the film I am co‑screenwriter, costume designer and I play the role of the Samaritan Woman.

The film’s poster was also created by me.

The film was nominated in the DISCOVERIES section of the Warsaw International Film Festival.
