An award designed for the Pro Persona foundation in Nijmegen as a distinction for the employee of the year. Material: glass, sand, American walnut.
Inside the hourglass, alongside the sand, there is a glass sphere — an element that cannot be “poured through.” It remains in place, like a marker of the person being honoured: the one who, in that year, gave the work a special direction and whose presence does not disappear in the rhythm of daily tasks. In this way, the hourglass becomes not only a symbol of time but also of attentiveness directed toward the human being.
